Stripped

Now you lay here alone.

Aged by bad habits
fueled by your lack
of self worth...

Stripped of your youth
with those gaunt cheeks
and sunken eyes...

Stunningly jaundice
and contently reeking
of your own filth.

Yet you regret nothing...

And still disapprove
of everyone
and everything
life ever offered you.

  1. A poem for you dear Hal.
    “Once I wanted everything,
    once I had enough.
Once the kisses were so damn sweet,
now they burn my dying soul.
Once a beautiful flower loved me so.
Now I am in the Winter of my life.
I dream of the Spring flowers now”
